Last updated: 7 October 2026
1. Our agreement
1.1 MONIQ TECHNOLOGY LTD trading as Kinworth ("Kinworth", "we", "our" or "us") is a company registered in England and Wales with company number 17379451, whose registered office is at 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom.
1.2 [Option A: Account information services are provided to you by Yapily Connect Ltd, as set out in the Open Banking Terms at the end of these Terms. Kinworth is not itself authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority.]
1.3 These terms and conditions ("Terms") apply to your use of the Kinworth website, the Kinworth mobile and web applications (the "App"), and the analysis, insights and AI assistant we provide through them (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you confirm that you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, you must not use the Service.
1.4 These Terms should be read together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which explain how we use your personal data.
1.5 Please read these Terms carefully before using the Service. We recommend you save or print a copy for future reference.
2. The Service
2.1 Kinworth is a financial intelligence service that brings your financial information together and helps you and your household understand it. To use the Service you must be at least 18 years old and resident in the United Kingdom.
2.2 The Service allows you to:
- connect accounts you hold with banks and other financial providers ("Connected Accounts");
- view balances, transactions and recurring payments from your Connected Accounts in one place;
- receive AI-generated insights, summaries and answers to your questions about your finances; and
- if you choose, share selected information with members of your household.
2.3 We analyse the data from your Connected Accounts to categorise spending and identify patterns such as recurring payments, upcoming bills, low balances and changes in your spending, and we present these to you.
2.4 Kinworth is independent. The Service is not endorsed or sponsored by the providers of your Connected Accounts.
3. Access to the Service
3.1 You can access the Service through our website or the App. If you download the App from the Apple App Store or Google Play, your use is also subject to that store's terms. If those terms conflict with these Terms, these Terms take priority to the extent the law allows.
3.2 Your account is personal to you. You must not let anyone else use it, and you must keep your login details and any security codes confidential. Tell us immediately at support@kinworth.ai if you think someone else has accessed your account.
4. Connecting your accounts
4.1 To use the Service, you connect your accounts using Open Banking. You will be redirected to your bank to authorise access; we never see or store your online banking login details. Once you authorise access, we will retrieve your account and transaction information and refresh it periodically until your consent expires or you withdraw it.
4.2 Our access is read-only. We cannot make payments or move money in your Connected Accounts.
4.3 Your consent to access each Connected Account lasts for 90 days unless you renew it. You can withdraw consent at any time in the App or through your bank.
4.4 You give us permission to use information from your Connected Accounts to provide the Service to you, as described in these Terms and our Privacy Policy. We may also use aggregated or de-identified information that cannot identify you to improve and develop the Service. We will never sell your personal data.
4.5 When we retrieve your information, we do so on your behalf and at your request.
4.6 We do not check the accuracy of information provided by your account providers. We rely on them, and on you, to make sure it is complete and up to date.
4.7 You confirm that you are the holder, or an authorised user, of each account you connect and that you are entitled to give us access to it. For joint accounts, you confirm the other account holder is aware of and agrees to the connection.
4.8 We may ask you to provide information to verify your identity, and may verify it ourselves or through a third party, where needed to protect your account or meet our legal obligations.
5. AI-generated insights
5.1 The Service uses artificial intelligence, including large language models provided by third parties, to analyse your information and generate insights and answers.
5.2 AI-generated content may be incomplete, out of date or incorrect. You should check important figures against your own records before relying on them.
5.3 Insights are provided for information only. They are not financial, investment, tax, pensions, mortgage or debt advice, and they are not a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any financial product. See clause 14.5.
5.4 We do not permit our AI providers to use your data to train their models.
6. Households
6.1 You may invite other people to join a household with you. You decide which Connected Accounts, goals and information each household member can see, and you can change this at any time.
6.2 You are responsible for only sharing information you are entitled to share and for choosing whom you invite.
6.3 Each household member must have their own Kinworth account and accept these Terms. Any member can leave a household at any time, after which information they shared will no longer be visible to the other members.
7. Subscriptions and payments
7.1 Some features are available only on a paid plan. Prices are shown in the App before you subscribe and include VAT where applicable.
7.2 Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in Settings or through the app store you subscribed with, and you will keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
7.3 You have the right to cancel within 14 days of first subscribing and receive a refund. If you ask us to start providing the paid Service during those 14 days, we may deduct an amount for the use you have had.
7.4 We will give you at least 30 days' notice of any price increase, and you may cancel before it takes effect.
7.5 Payments made through the Apple App Store or Google Play are processed by them and subject to their refund policies.
8. Your privacy and cookies
8.1 We process your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and use cookies as described in our Cookie Policy. Please read them to understand how we collect, use and protect your information.
9. Your conduct
9.1 You must not access without permission, interfere with, damage or disrupt any part of the Service, its security measures, or any systems or networks connected to it, including by introducing viruses, malware or other harmful code.
9.2 You must not access the Service by automated means, including bots, scripts, crawlers or scrapers, unless we have agreed to this in writing.
9.3 You must not copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile or create derivative works of the Service, except where the law allows you to do so.
9.4 You must not use the Service for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose, or in a way that suggests an association with Kinworth that does not exist.
9.5 If you send us ideas, suggestions or feedback, you agree that we may use them to improve the Service without payment or attribution.
10. Third-party services
10.1 The Service may contain links to, or information about, websites, apps or services operated by others ("Third-Party Services"). These are provided for your information only.
10.2 We do not control or endorse Third-Party Services and are not responsible for their content or operation. Your use of them is governed by their own terms and policies.
11. Data charges and security
11.1 You are responsible for any charges from your mobile network or internet provider for using the Service.
11.2 We take reasonable steps to keep the Service secure and free from viruses, but cannot guarantee it. You are responsible for keeping your device secure and using up-to-date security software.
12. Changes to these Terms
12.1 We may update these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes in the law or in the Service.
12.2 Unless a change is needed urgently for legal, regulatory or security reasons, we will give you at least 30 days notice of material changes by email or in the App. If you do not agree, you may close your account before the changes take effect. If you continue to use the Service after that date, the updated Terms will apply.
12.3 The version of these Terms in force at the time continues to govern any dispute that arose before a change took effect.
13. The Service as provided
13.1 We will provide the Service with reasonable care and skill. We will try to keep it available and working properly, but we do not promise that it will:
- meet all of your requirements;
- be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free;
- produce results, insights or figures that are always accurate or complete; or
- have every error corrected.
13.2 Nothing in these Terms affects your legal rights as a consumer, including under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
14. Our liability
14.1 If we fail to comply with these Terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach or our negligence. Loss or damage is foreseeable if it is an obvious consequence of our breach or if you and we both knew it might happen when you started using the Service.
14.2 The Service is for domestic and private use only. We are not liable for any loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of business opportunity.
14.3 We do not exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be excluded or limited by law.
14.4 Subject to clause 14.3, we are not liable for:
- the acts, omissions or data errors of your account providers;
- the availability of open banking connections, which depends on your account providers;
- decisions you make based on information or insights provided through the Service; or
- the content or conduct of any Third-Party Service.
14.5 Kinworth is not a financial adviser and the Service does not provide regulated financial advice. Your circumstances are unique, and you should consider seeking independent advice before making significant financial decisions.
14.6 Subject to clause 14.3, our total liability to you in connection with the Service is limited to the greater of the fees you have paid us in the 12 months before the claim and £100.
15. Responsibility for misuse
15.1 If you deliberately or fraudulently misuse the Service or breach clause 9, you are responsible for reasonable losses and costs (including reasonable legal costs) that we suffer as a direct result.
16. Suspension and termination
16.1 If we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms, we may:
- give you a warning;
- temporarily suspend or permanently end your access to the Service;
- take legal action to recover our reasonable costs; and/or
- share information with law enforcement where we reasonably consider it necessary.
16.2 We may also suspend access where needed to protect the security of the Service or your account, or where required by law.
16.3 We may close your account for any other reason by giving you at least 30 days' notice, in which case we will refund any fees you have prepaid for the period after closure.
17. Linking to our website
17.1 You may link to our website's home page provided you do so fairly and legally, and do not damage our reputation or take advantage of it.
17.2 You must not suggest any association with, or endorsement by, Kinworth where none exists, and you must not frame our website on any other site. We may withdraw linking permission at any time.
18. General
18.1 You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms to anyone else. We may transfer ours to another organisation, provided this does not reduce your rights; we will tell you if we do.
18.2 We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control.
18.3 These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service.
18.4 If a court finds any part of these Terms invalid, the rest will continue to apply.
18.5 If we delay enforcing these Terms, we can still enforce them later.
18.6 These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and you can bring legal proceedings in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
19. Closing your account
19.1 You can close your account at any time in Settings > Account or by emailing support@kinworth.ai from your registered email address. Closing your account ends our access to your Connected Accounts. We handle your data after closure as described in our Privacy Policy.
19.2 If your account is inactive for 24 months, we may close it after giving you at least 30 days' notice.
20. Enquiries and complaints
20.1 If you have a question or complaint, contact us at support@kinworth.ai. We aim to resolve complaints within 15 business days.
20.2 If we cannot resolve your complaint about our account information services, you may be able to refer it to the Financial Ombudsman Service (www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk). Complaints about how we handle your personal data can be made to the Information Commissioner's Office (www.ico.org.uk).
